Norma Grissom

Funeral service for Norma Jones Grissom, 78 of Corinth, have been set for Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 11:00am at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be Friday, February 6, 2015 from 5:00pm-8:00pm and Saturday from 10:00am until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mrs. Grissom passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was a retired office manager for Coca Cola with 18 years of service. She loved her family especially her grandson. She was an avid reader, an award winning quilter, a maker of Ukrainian Easter eggs who loved her church family, playing board games and traveling. She is a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Avon Grissom of Corinth; her son, Maury Avon Grissom, Jr. of Corinth; her daughter, Peggy Grissom Winters and husband Russ of Rienzi; her grandson, Maury Avon "Trey" Grissom III; her brothers, William Roy Jones of Lambert, MS and Bobby Charles Jones and wife Betty of Long Beach, MS; two sisters-in-law, Irene Mincy of Corinth and Dorothy Grissom White of Corinth; other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Jefferson Jones; her mother, Henrietta McKee Jones; two sisters, Nellodean Jones Crossland and Donarita Jones Baker and husband Jimmie; sisters-in-law, Opal Jones and Ethel Cornelius and husband Mark; brothers-in-law, Leonard Cornelius and wife Audie and Roy Mincy. Pallbearers will be David Holmes, Benson Skelton, Ray Sanders, Jeff Sanders, Bill Jones, Barry Barnett, Patrick Jones and Johnny Mincy. Bro,. Charles Stephenson will officiate and burial will follow in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
