Olen Arnold

A Celebration of life service for Olen Arnold, 78, of Rienzi, MS will be held at Magnolia Funeral Home in Corinth, MS on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 2:00 P M. with interment to follow is Pisgah Methodist Church Cemetery at Pisgah, MS. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 5:00 P M to 8:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home. Bro. Donnie Davis and Bro. Mike Lee will officiate the service. Mr. Arnold died Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at his residence. He was born August 3, 1938 in Tippah County, MS to the late I.C. and Ruby Arnold. He loved the Lord and was a member of Mills Community Baptist Church. He was employed for several years at Tyrone and as a peddler around at flea markets and in his community. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. His family and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He was a faithful member of AA and had 33 years of sobriety, where he encouraged and supported many others to change their lives. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Dorothy Guynes Arnold of Rienzi, MS; his daughters, Lori Maddox (Phil)of Beebe, AR and Leann Jones (Tim) of Booneville, MS; his sister, Evelyn Smith and his brothers, Donnie Arnold (Paula) all of Rienzi, MS; his 1 grandson, Channing Hopkins (Lindsey) of Muscle Shoals, AL; his 2 granddaughters, Addie and Annika Jones; his 2 great-granddaughters, Madison Pruitt and Brooklyn Hopkins; his mother-in-law, Pinkie Guynes; his brother-in-law, Gerald Guynes; special friends, Koonie Shadburn, Bill Elliott and Bobby Jackson; several nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Gene Arnold, Sammy Arnold and Connie Arnold; 1 sister, Ellie Mae Stokes; 1 brother-in-law, N.S. Smith and his father-in-law, Monroe Guynes. Pallbearers will be John Stewart, Ricky Stokes, Jackie Smith, Joe Arnold, Jerry Arnold and Will Key. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Olen Arnold.
