Calvin Pierce

Calvin Wallace Pierce of Corinth, MS passed away after a short illness with bone cancer at NMMC in Tupelo MS on December 21, 2018. Calvin was born on Nov 1, 1947 in Memphis, TN and is survived by his wife of 50 years: Patricia Ann Pierce of Corinth; his daughter: Norma Ruth Pierce Kelly (Shawn) of San Antonio, TX; and his son: Calvin Wallace Pierce Jr. of Corinth, MS; 5 grandchildren: Margaret Ann, Michael Ryan, Sam, Sarah and Calvin III; his aunt: Sarah Wallace Coleman of Corinth MS; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his mother: Margaret Wallace Pierce; his father: Carter Thomas Pierce; his brother: Tommy Pierce and by his uncle: George Coleman. Calvin graduated from Messick High School- Memphis TN in 1965. He served his country in the US Navy then graduated from the University of Memphis in 1973 with a degree in electrical engineering. He worked in the oil field services industry and in 1985 opened Pierce Foam and Supply in Booneville, MS. Calvin was a member of First United Methodist in Corinth and was an avid boater, pilot and loved spending time with family and friends. He will forever be remembered in the hearts of those he loved. Visitation is scheduled from 11 am – 1 pm Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Magnolia Funeral Home. A celebration of Calvin’s life will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Interment with military honors will follow in Henry Cemetery.
