Jake Hamlin

John H. “Jake” Hamlin, 94, of Corinth, MS, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at the State Veterans Home in Oxford, MS. He was born in Corinth, MS on May 17, 1926 and was a US Army Veteran of World War II. Jake retired as a line technician with Mid-South Telephone Company and will be remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. A private service honoring Jake’s life will be held for the family at Corinth National Cemetery on July 31, 2020. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Jake’s memory include his grandchild, Paul Hamlin; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Hamlin; his son, Michael Hamlin; his father, John Hamlin; his mother, Ossie Arnett Hamlin Williams; and his sisters, Helen Louise Wevang and Mildred Katherine Brinkman.
