Joel Glenn Driver

A Celebration of Life service for Joel Glenn Driver, 69 of Corinth, MS, will be Friday, January 4, 2019 at 3:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel. Minister Brad Dillingham will officiate the service. Visitation is Friday, January 4, 2019 from 1:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mr. Driver passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis, TN. He was born January 11, 1949 in Corinth, MS to J. G. "Punch" Driver and Rose Joslin Driver. Glenn was a truck driver for The Corinthian Furniture Co. and was a member of Strickland Church of Christ. He loved singing, playing guitar loud and any kind of music. He enjoyed truck driving, working in his shop and watching SYFY movies. He especially loved maintaining and restoring things in his shop. Glenn is survived by his wife of 22 years, Phyliss Driver of Corinth, MS; his daughter, Shannacee Lynn Bailey (Selby) of Atlanta, GA; his step-son, Chris Witt (Melissa) of Corinth, MS; 1 grandchild, Sabastian Bailey; his sisters, Faye Barr (Lawrence) of Corinth, MS and Jane Berry (Frank) of Corinth, MS; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, J.G. "Punch" Driver and his mother, Rose Joslin Driver. In lieu of flowers the family request donation be made to the Alcorn Animal Shelter or American Red Cross, 431 18th St. N W , Washington, DC 20006. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Joel Glenn Driver.
