Ray Settlemires, 72, of Corinth, MS, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at Methodist University Hospital, Memphis, TN. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories on Friday, March 29, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. Bro. Rick Bell and Bro. Dave Paseur will officiate the service and burial will follow at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in Corinth, MS. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 28, 2019, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Magnolia Funeral Home and on Friday, March 29, 2019, from 10:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, in care of Serita Redding, 191 County Road 522, Corinth, MS 38834. He was born in Tippah County on February 27, 1947 He was of the Methodist Faith and a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. Mr. Ray was a salesman for Pioneer Machinery. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved spending time with his brother, Keith, on their farm; deer hunting, gardening and spending time outside. Mr. Ray's survivors include his Wife of 51 years: Karen Miller Settlemires of Corinth, MS; Sons: Marty Ray Settlemires and Wife Brandy; and Bradley Thomas Settlemires and wife Nicole, all of Corinth, MS; Four Grandchildren: Jacob Thomas Settlemires, Austin Ray Settlemires, Addison Grace Settlemires, and Lilah Bradley Settlemires; Mother: Alyene Jeanes Settlemires of Corinth, MS; Brothers: Bobby Settlemires and Wife Linda; Phillip Settlemires and Wife Wanda; Keith Settlemires and Wife Sheila, and Steve Settlemires and Wife Cynthia; all of Corinth, MS; Sister: Debbie Coombs and Husband Tim of New Albany, MS; Parents-In-Law: James LeRoy Miller and Katherine Lamberth Miller of Corinth, MS; Brothers-In-Law: Keith Miller and Wife Wanda of Olive Branch, MS; and David Miller and Wife Ellen of Guntown, MS; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was Preceded in Death by his Father: L. W. Settlemires and Brother: Elbert Settlemires. Pallbearers for Ray's service will be Jeff Bobo, Randy Bobo, Jim Gurley, McCoy Phillips, Henry Gipson, and Larry Dickey. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Kossuth High School Class of 1966. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Ray Settlemires.
