Rickey Lamar Beavers

Rickey Lamar Beavers, 71 of Corinth, MS passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at his home in Corinth. Family graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 25, 2020 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm at Magnolia Funeral Home. Born July 8, 1949 in Corinth, MS, Rickey was a retired TSGT for the United States Air Force. He received numerous medals and ribbons during his 22 years, 10 months and 13 days of service to our country including National Defense Service Medal with one bronze star, Vietnam Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal with two bronze stars, Philippines Presidential Unit Citation, Air Force Commendation Medal with two oak clusters, Air Force Achievement Medal, Navy Good Conduct Medal with one star, NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, Air Force Training Ribbon, Air Force Good Conduct Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Combat Readiness Medal with three oak leaf clusters, Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation and the Air Force Longevity Service Award with four oak leaf clusters. Rickey loved his family and friends and enjoyed farming, working on heavy machinery and anything that was associated with trains. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Sheppard's Chapel in Gravette, ARK. Rickey is survived by his wife of 46 years, Maria Beavers of Corinth, MS; son, Pat Beavers and wife Crystal of Auburn, Washington; daughters, Kathryn Reynolds of Elsmere, Kentucky, Neicy Matthews and husband Barry of Corinth and Ami Beavers of Corinth; 2 grandchildren, Brittany Reynolds and BrookLynn Reynolds, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, James Franklin Beavers; mother, Elvie Sanders Beavers; brothers, Dennis Beavers and Bill Beavers and sister, Clara Gale Davis. Pallbearers will be Pat Beavers, Rick Crookston, Gary Wilburn, Dorsie Hillard, Al Lewis and Ken Briggs.
