Ruth "Bobbie" Glidewell

A Celebration of Life service for Ruth "Bobbie" Glidewell, 79 of Corinth, MS will be Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with interment to follow at Magnolia Gardens. Charlie Browning will officiate the service. Visitation will be Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 12:00 noon until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mrs. Glidewell passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. She was born May 23, 1940 in Alcorn County, MS to Waymon Hastings and Roxie Stutts Hastings. She was a machine operator at United Pioneer and was a member of Kossuth Worship Center. She enjoyed watching westerns and wrestling on TV and was a very good cook. She loved shopping, her church and spending time with her family. Bobbie is survived by her step-daughter, Dianne Chester (Steve) of Eads, TN; special grandchildren, Tepen Hamm (Tyler), Isabel Goad and Jamie Goss; her sister-in-laws, Alice Walters of Corinth, MS and Viola Yancey of Ripley, MS ; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Ray D. Glidewell; her father, Waymon Hastings; her mother, Roxie Stutts Hastings; her brothers, Guy Hastings, Marlin Hastings, Bill Hastings and Zack Hastings; her sisters, Verdie Lee Dunn (Gene), Jackie Gurley, Louise Holmes and Lois Peters (Wayne). Pallbearers will be Trey Logue, Chris Goad, Keith Hamm, Jerry Sanders, Bodie Ward and Barry Glidewell. Honorary pallbearers will be Talon Hamm and Triton Hamm. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Ruth "Bobbie" Glidewell.
