Sandra "Sandy" Sohn

Sandra “Sandy” Sohn, 71, of Jackson, TN, passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Lisbon, Ohio on February 18, 1947 and was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Corinth, MS where she taught Sunday school. Sandy retired from the US Postal Service. She enjoyed traveling from coast to coast, including Alaska, and loved rock and roll music, especially Pink Floyd. Her greatest joy was her family, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren meant everything to her. Sandy will forever be remembered in the hearts of those she loved. A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held at 2 pm Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church officiated by Pastor Michael Dixon. Pallbearers include Robert Ortolano, Michael Krenson, Geordon Krenson, Robert Cuttle, Eric Ortolano, Justin Ortolano, and Manny Perez. Interment will be in Mars Hill Cemetery in Adamsville, TN. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Sandy’s memory include her husband of 49 years: David F. Sohn of Jackson, TN; her sons: Jerry Russell (Ashley) of Alaska and David A. Sohn (Jessica) of Alaska; her daughters: Lynette Ortolano (Robert) of Alaska, Kimberly Sohn (Douglas Cline) of Jackson, TN, Suzanne Krenson (Mike) of Henderson, TN, and Jennifer Finley (Larry) of Selmer, TN; 24 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; her brothers: Bill Finley, Steve Finley (Lisa), and Buddy Finley all of Ohio; her sisters: Linda Moore and Carole Owen (John) all of Ohio; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother: Norma Finley (Everett) and by her father: Robert Mercer (Sarah).
