Sandra “Kitten” Watkins Brasher went to her Eternal home with her Lord, Sunday, June 7,2020. Sandra is the daughter of Lloyd and Brenda Chapman Watkins of Selmer, TN Sandra worked in the medical field her whole career. She begin as a teen working for McNairy County General Hospital, later attending JSCC with an Associates Degree in EMS. Her last employment, before becoming unable to work was with Nashville EMS, working the Franklin area. She was a very avid, competitive softball player and coach. She loved the outdoors and was an awesome catcher of Catfish. She would bait her hook, cast it out and say, “Here, Kitty, Kitty” and catch the biggest and largest amount. She enjoyed camping, music, dancing and Car Shows with her Pop and brother Andy. Most of all she loved Jesus since she was a youth. Sandra was a member of Forty Forks Baptist Church, Bethel Springs, TN. She served many years as a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. She always presented a huge, infectious smile and had a hug for everyone in the room. She was a huge supporter of women and children of abuse. As her Grandmother Chapman would say, “She’d fight a circular saw and it a-running” if she saw the need to defend someone being wronged. Kitten was a compassionate and giving girl. Sandra was a fearless Mother to her only child, Lane Brasher. She loved him with a passion, like none other. They fished, rode four-wheelers, played ball and were always outside together. She dearly loved her grandchildren and they her. Their name for her is “Mamaw KittyCat”. Ms. Brasher departed this life at MRCH, in Corinth, MS at the age of 53 years, 5 months and 25 days. She was born during a Christmas Parade on December 13, 1966 in Henderson, Tn. She leaves to cherish her memory forever of her only child, Lucas Lane Brasher (Kim) Selmer, TN. Her parents Lloyd and Brenda Watkins, Selmer, TN. Grandchildren, Eric Lane and Evelynne Marie Brasher, Bethel Springs, their mother(Shawantay). Lane and Kim are expecting the arrival of Mamaw KittCat’s grandson, Carson in July. Sister, Rebecca Williams (Alan) Selmer, brothers, Gerald Elam (Mary) and Andy Watkins(Becca) all of Adamsville, TN. Also, Uncle and Aunt Tony and Wanda Chapman, Aunt Edith Hunter all of Selmer. Nieces; Jeannie, Lacy, Jessie, Lindsey, Sarah. Nephews; Lee, Joseph, Zach, Ethan, Jacob, Andrew, Matthew. She also leaves her dear friend, neighbor and caregiver, Renee of Selmer. Sandra was proceeded in death by brother, Steven Anthony. Sister, Wanda Jarrett. Grandparents, Lebron and Cornelia Chapman and Leonard and Merle Watkins. Sandra’s wishes were to be cremated. Magnolia Funeral Home in Corinth MS is in charge of her final wishes. A Memorial Services will be held at a later date at Forty Forks Baptist Church, Bethel Springs, TN.
