Funeral services for Andy "Shorty" Garvin Mullins, 87 of Walnut are set for Monday, May 4, 2026 at 2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home - East with interment in Camp Ground Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, May 3, 2026 from 5pm-8pm and Monday, May 4, 2026 from 12pm-2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home - East. Bro. Tommy Garrett and Bro. Paul Adams will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Bodhi Anderson, Cody Mullins, Hunter Mullins, Dave Mullins, Aiden Anderson and Austin Brock. Honorary pallbearers will be Kerry Fiveash, Billy Russell, Joe Jackson and Phillip Flake. Born July 3, 1938 in Tippah County, MS., Mr. Mullins passed from this life on Monday, April 27, 2026 at his home in Walnut. He was a retired machine operator at Intex/MS Polymers and of the Baptist faith. He loved his family and enjoyed playing music, singing in church, traveling to the Smokey Mountains, and farming. He loved to get up on Saturday mornings and just go ride around. He even got to record at the Great Sun Studio in Memphis. Andy is survived by his sons, Ralph Mullins (Phyllis), Glenn Mullins, David Mullins and Kelvin Mullins (Chiquita); 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Ellie Marie Mullins; father, Garvin Mullins; mother, Roxie Garrett Mullins; brothers, Everett Mullins, Leonard Mullins and Bynum Mullins; and his sisters, Vernea Jackson, Ollie Hugh Mullins, Jewell Garrett, Earlene Russell and Pearl Mae Mullins.
