Memorial service for Aubleine Hankins Morton, 90, of Brentwood, TN will be Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 12pm at First Baptist Church, Counce, TN. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 11am until 12pm at Frist Baptist Church , Counce, TN.

Aubeline Hankins Morton was born September 4th, 1931 in Hamilton, Alabama. Here friends and family called her Abby. Her Children called her Momma and her five Grand Children knew her as Maw Maw. She was the third of seven children born to James Darius Hankins and Sarah Edith Hankins.

Mom lived much of her younger years in Southeast Missouri, where she met her husband Lester, who passed on August 28th. They lived a wonderful life for sixty-eight years. Living in California and Kentucky in their early years, and moving to Memphis, Tennessee in 1961. In retirement they moved to Pickwick, Tennessee with many of their friends.

Mom was raised in a Christian home with her Mother and Father, who was a Southern Baptist Minister. She was a stay- at- home mom until her children came of age, then worked and retired from GFK Construction Co., as Office Manager. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Counce, where she was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class, MAT Group, Children’s Program and Vacation Bible School..

She is survived by her three children; Larry and wife Cindy, Gary and wife Carol, LeAnn Ambrose and husband John Ambrose and the late Robert Nichols. Three brothers; Kermit Hankins and wife Mary Ruth, Jim Hankins and wife, the late Marion Hankins, Bob Hankins and wife Mariaelena, Three Sisters; Elaine Connell and husband the late John Connell, Dean Tomey and Carolyn Gould and husband Bob Gould. Grandchildren: Tammy Yeargan (Glen), Darius Morton (Christina) and Ashley Freeman (Josh), Sarah Nichols, Sam Nichols (Catherine Creighton, Sam’s fiancée), Ellie Ambrose, Kathleen Ambrose, Margaret Ambrose, Jack Ambrose and Michael Hall. Great Grandchildren: Madison and Cooper Morton, Carter Yeargan, Jackson and Avery Freeman.

She will be missed by all her family and friends, but we praise her and know she has reached a higher state of happiness. Magnolia Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Aubeline Hankins Morton.
