Azzlee Downs

A Celebration of Life service for Azzlee Downs, 86 of Iuka is set for 2pm, Sunday, July 20, 2025 at Magnolia Funeral Home- East Chapel with interment in Indian Springs Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 5pm-8pm and Sunday, July 20, 2025 from 1pm until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home- East Chapel. Rev. Nelson Hight and Bro. Jon Haimes will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Kevin Downs, Gary Wren, Dick Cowart, Ron Murabito, Jodie Rickman and Jaxon Rickman. Born June 8, 1939 in Rienzi, MS., Mrs. Downs passed from this life on July 16, 2025 in Iuka, MS. She was a homemaker and a member of Indian Springs Methodist Church. She loved her family and enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, knitting, embroidering, cooking and watching ole Westerns. Azzlee is survived by her sons, Jimmy Downs (Jennell) and Jeff Downs (Sheila); grandchildren, John Ward and Austin Ward (Alice); great grandchildren, Alexis Ward and Madison Ward; cousin, Peggy Sue Murabito (Ron); other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Roy Lee Burcham; mother, Francis Wamsley Burcham; brother, James Burcham and her sisters, Charlene Vanderford and Linda Joyce Burcham. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Azzlee Downs.
