Barbara Yvonne Driskell Wilson passed away Monday, September 13, 2010 at her residence in Corinth, MS at the age of 56. She was born January 6, 1954 in Russellville, AL. Yvonne went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 13, 2010. She was 56 years old. She was the devoted wife of Phillip Wilson for 23 years and the loving mother to Clay Wilson for 25 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Freedom Community Church. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends she made while working with the public and members of her Freedom Community Church Family. She is survived by her Son: Clay Wilson – Russellville, AL, her Mother: Shellie Scott Driskell Hancock – Corinth, MS, her Maternal Grandmother: Ophelia Scott – Marietta, GA, a Sister: Nancy Pace – Corinth, MS, 2 Brothers: Tommy Driskell & Kelvin Hancock – Corinth, MS, her Mother-in-law: Betty Wilson – Russellville, AL, a Sister-in-law: Donna James – Russellville, AL Nieces: Natasha Henderson, Brooke Wray, Amanda Wortham, Tambrie Wortham, Alexis Wray, Madi Grace Henderson, Nephews: Jason Driskell, Matt James, Brennan James, Paxton Wray, Nathan Pace, Kamp Pace, Noah Henderson, Paxton Harris Yvonne was blessed by special caregivers: Betsy Mitchell, Carrie Bradford, Lana Boyd, Carol Holdbrooks, Melva Bishop and the Ladies of Freedom Community Church Pallbearerswill be Matt James, Jim Bauer, Athel Scott, Gene Taylor, Emon Walsh, Danny Langston Honorary Pallbearerswill be Ronny Murphy, Ronald Holdbrooks, Judge Barry Moore, Howard Grant She is Welcomed to Heaven by her Father: Harley Thomas Driskell, a Brother: Harley Marshall Driskell, her Stepfather: Edward Hancock, her Father-in-law: Marvin Wilson , her Grandfather: James Robert Driskell, Grandfather: Johnny Scott, Grandmother: Gladys Briley The church will provide a meal following the service Donations to Hope Lodge, 1104 Ireland Way, Birmingham, AL 35205 in memory of Yvonne would be greatly appreciated.
