Bettie Jo Roden Kee, 86, of Corinth, MS, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born in Leedy, MS on April 11, 1934 to the late Odell and Violet Gray Weathers, graduated from Burnsville High School and was a homemaker and a Baptist. Bettie Jo was a giver and poured her life into everyone she met. From crocheting to quilting to making jams and jellies to cooking and feeding people, everything she did was for others. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and nothing gave her more pleasure than spending time with those she loved. The greatest testament to her life is she was loved by everyone her life touched. Visitation is scheduled from 1-2 pm on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Vertical Church. Masks and social distancing are encouraged. A Celebration of Bettie Jo’s life will be held at 2 pm Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Vertical Church with Bro. Bill Wages officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery officiated by Bro. Brett Butler. Pallbearers include John Curry, John Owen Curry, Terion Taylor, Benny Brasel, John Savell, and Robby Meeks. Honorary pallbearers include Kenneth Roden, Dakota Roden, Fabian Bonaparte, Armando Bonaparte, and Hunter Brasel. Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Bettie Jo’s memory include her sons, Johnny Roden of IA and Doyle Wayne Roden of Ripley; her daughters, Sharlotte Sue Roden and Deborah Lynn Roden Hager both of Corinth; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; her brother, Jackie Wayne Weathers of Corinth; other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, John Kenneth Roden; her 2nd husband, Johnny Kee; her special friend, Ray Marlar; her brothers, Gaylon Weathers, Roland Weathers, Sigmond Weathers, Julian Weathers; her sisters, Billie Sue Hubbard Sprouse, Lottie Owens, Georgia Depoyster; and her grandson, Samuel Dylan Hollan. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Magnolia Funeral Home to help the family will final expenses. Online condolences may be expressed at magnoliafuneralhome.net.
