Betty Glidewell, 76, of Bruceton, Tennessee, peacefully passed away on September 13, 2026, at her home in Bruceton surrounded by her family. Born on January 8, 1950, she lived a life marked by devotion to her family, her church, and the countless people she loved so deeply.

Of the Pentecostal faith, Betty attended Fairview Pentecostal Church in Holiday, TN, where she served faithfully as a teacher and poured her heart into her church family. She was a homemaker by occupation, but her true work was loving, caring, and lifting up everyone around her. Betty was the definition of outgoing — the life of the party, the one who made sure everyone was fed, checked on, and cared for. She made the best sweet tea, saw the good in everyone, and carried a strength that was both quiet and unmatched. Her family was her world, the center of every choice she made and every joy she carried, and she poured her whole heart into loving them. She enjoyed fishing with her boys, shopping with her girls, working in her yard, and tending to her beautiful flowers. Traveling brought her joy, and she cherished every moment spent with those she loved.

Betty is survived by her husband of 59 years, John Henry Glidewell; her daughter, Betty Gail Christian (Cliff); grandchildren, Dustin Mooney (Rachel) and Brandy Fullington (Dwayne); great‑grandchildren, Chloe Fullington (Chase), Avelyn Mooney, Emily Fullington, and Selah Mooney; sisters, Christian Forsythe, Faye Dixon (Bill), and Lois Glidewell Streetman (Buddy); and sisters‑in‑law, Bobbie Davis (James), Martha King (Ralph), and Connie Robertson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmitt and Dora Robertson; brothers, Billy Robertson (Gail), Benny Robertson (Anna), Jimmy Robertson, and Audrey Robertson; and sisters, Viola Mask, Margie Essary (Caston), and Joyce Hutson (Charles).

Betty’s legacy is one of love, strength, and generosity. She leaves behind a family and community forever shaped by her kindness, her laughter, and her unwavering faith. Magnolia Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Betty Glidewell.
