Sue Knighton

Billie “Sue” Knighton, 89, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Mississippi Care Center in Corinth, MS. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, from 12 noon until service time at 2:00 p.m., at Magnolia Funeral Home East, Corinth, MS.   She was born on May 26, 1933, in Corinth, Alcorn County, MS.  Her parents were Willie Mason Fowler and Clarcie Jackson Walls Fowler of Corinth.  She was married to the love of her life in 1954, Harold Thomas (Tommy) Knighton.  She was a hard worker and worked at various shirt factories in Corinth.  When the Knightons opened K&K Truck Stop on Hwy 45 South, Corinth; she loved working there and it showed in her big smile. Her motto in life was to get up, dress up; smile, and accomplish something daily.  She took pride in decorating her home and making sure everything always looked perfect.  She is survived by her nieces:  Shelia Walls Calvary (Jimmy), Betty Walls Martin (John), and Linda Walls Wiginton; nephews:  Danny Walls (Peggy), Jimmy Vann Knighton, and Jerry Don Knighton (Sandra); and sister-in-law:  Hazel Wagner Buck. Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Knighton; parents: Willie and Clarcie  Fowler; brother, Richard Walls Jr. (Mary B.); father and mother-in-law, Jack and Irene Knighton; brother-in-law, Vancy Knighton (Lillian); and nephew: Jackie Knighton. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Billie Sue Knighton.
