Billy Anthony Fugitt

Billy Anthony Fugitt, 71, of Burnsville, MS passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at NMMC-Iuka. He was born on May 26, 1954 in Wilson, AR to the late Russell and Estelle Bolton Fugitt. A Celebration of Life service will be Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 11 am with a gathering of family and friends from 10 am till service time at Magnolia Funeral Home - East. Interment will follow in Dennis Memory Gardens. Pallbearers include Blake Fugitt, Dalton Fugitt, Aiden Jolly, Jack Jolly, Luke Qualls, and Mason Byrd. Billy was known for his skills as a carpenter, always finding joy in the art of building and working with wood. Whether it was constructing a house or working on his tractor, Billy approached every task with enthusiasm and a deep respect for the materials he utilized. Beyond his remarkable craftsmanship, Billy was a devoted family man. He found immense joy in spending time with his grandchildren. The memories created during those moments will forever be treasured by his loved ones. Billy is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kathy Fugitt; his children, Shannon Morgan (A.C.), Anthony Paul Fugitt (Brianna), and Kelly Jolly (Chad); his grandchildren, Taylor, Aiden, Blake, Avery, Jack, Dalton, Bianey, Luke, Mason, Gracie, and Makalyn; a brother, Charles Fugitt; a sister, Judy Fugitt; a special niece, Sonja Shaefer; other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Fugitt and Miles Fugitt; and his sisters, Mary Todd, Jolene Wright, and Sue Moore.
