Billy Wayne Rider

Billy Wayne Rider, 85, of Jackson, TN, passed away at his home on Sunday, December 11, 2022 surrounded by his two daughters, Sydney Rider Replogle and Carol Rider Russell. Born in Corinth, MS on March 12, 1937 to the late Arnold and Beatrice Marecle Rider, he will forever be remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. Visitation is scheduled from 12-2 pm on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Magnolia Funeral Home – Hwy 45 SOUTH. A Memorial Celebration of Billy’s life will be held at 2 pm Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Magnolia Funeral Home – Hwy 45 SOUTH with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens. Dr. C. W. Harrison will officiate the service with Stephanie Knight delivering the eulogy. A reception and memorial meal will follow the service in the Family Reception Center at Magnolia Funeral Home – South.  Magnolia Funeral Home – Hwy 45 SOUTH is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Billy’s memory include his daughters, Sydney Rider Replogle (Jeff) and Carol Rider Russell; his grandchildren, Kelley Brook Polk (Zach), Michael Jordan Russell, Vincent Boone Fesmire II (Taylor), Kacee Louise Russell, Jeffrey Wayne Replogle, Jr. (Selina); his great grandchildren, Aetha Adele Replogle, Luca Valentine Replogle, and Henry Edward Knight; his nieces that were like daughters, Stephanie Caroline Knight (Cynthia) and Jennifer Knight Welch (Chapman); his sisters, Dot Latch (Eldon), Brenda Watkins (Gary), Glenda Fay Harrison (C.W.), and Linda May Hughes; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Billy helped raise many children who were not blood related and he loved each one with all his heart. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Louise Mitchell Rider, who passed away in April of this year, his grandson, Christopher Jordan Russell; his sisters, Fran Downs, Betty Reddell, Sandra Jordon; and his brothers, James Robert Rider, and Don Rider.
