Brenda was born March 10, 1963 in Lawrence County, AL and she passed away at her home in Corinth, MS Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
Brenda was of the Christian faith and attended Gospel Missionary Baptist Church. She loved music, and it seemed to be the soundtrack of her soul. Adventure called to her heart. She once bungee jumped—a bold leap that perfectly captured her fearless spirit and zest for life. Brenda lived like she was dying, embracing each day with courage, humor, and a smile that could brighten even the darkest moment. Saturdays in the fall found her cheering for Alabama football. Brenda’s family was her anchor, her joy, and her greatest treasure. To know Brenda was to know laughter. On your worst day, she could make you laugh. She loved to “cut up,” to tease, to bring humor when it was most needed. Her gift was simple yet profound: she made people smile, and in doing so, she reminded them of the beauty of life. She loved life. She loved her faith, her family, her friends, her music, her adventures. She lived fully, laughed freely, and gave generously of her heart. Her legacy is one of joy, courage, and love—a reminder to us all to embrace each day with gratitude, to laugh often, and to live boldly.
Those left to honor Brenda’s memory include her husband, Lonnie “Bear” Meredith; sons, Erick Jordan (Tina), and Jake Jordan (Amber); daughters, Shlonda Smith (Dana), Amber Baswell (Jeremy), and Holley Dixon (Rex); grandchildren, Erika Lovelace (Jonah), Shawn Jordan (Samantha Downs), Desley Cowart (Daniel Williams), Cheyanne Crum (Jordan), Jaylon Jordan (Ashley), Jace Blaxton Jordan, Mason Dixon, Jax Dixon, Jett Dixon, Madlyn Dixon, and Ryler Baswell; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Linda Blaxton and Karon Byrd; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Bessie Mae Peebles Blaxton; brothers, Billy Blaxton, Bro. Neal Blaxton, and Cecil Blaxton and sisters, Shelia Perry and Rita Williams. Magnolia Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Brenda Meredith.
