A Celebration of Life Service for David Landen Meeks, 72 of Michie, TN, will be Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 2:00 P M at Pisgah United Methodist Church in Counce TN. Interment will follow at the Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery. Bro. Paul Childers will officiate the service. Visitation will be Thursday, June 18, 2026 from 12:00 P M until service time at Pisgah United Methodist Church. Mr. Meeks passed away Sunday, June 14, 2026 at his residence. He was born October 19, 1953 in Counce, TN to Herbert Landen Meeks and Thelma Earle Webb Meeks. He was a supervisor for the Department of Transportation in TN and was of the Methodist faith. He was a Tennessee Vols and Nashville Predators fan and enjoyed fishing and taking care of his cattle. He loved and adored his wife Sheila and loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. David is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sheila Isbell Meeks; his son, Ian Landen Meeks; his daughter, Carmen Flatt (Ronny); his 4 grandchildren, Jacob Yancey, Joshua Yancey (Sara), Casey Flatt and Miley Meeks; 1 great grandson, Kayson Yancey; his sister, Dianne Grimes; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Meeks; his mother, Earle Meeks; and his brothers, Jimmy Wayne Meeks and Randy Meeks. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Flatt, Jacob Yancey, Joshua Yancey, Miles Meeks, Tracey McMeans, Don Carroll and Casey Flatt. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. David Meeks.
