Donald "Donnie" Ray Johnson, 68, passed from this earthly life, June 15, 2026, at his home. He was born June 22, 1957, to Monna Joyce Wallis Johnson and Charles Johnson. He attended Biggersville School until his 10th grade year and then transferred to Jumpertown high School where he graduated May of 1975. Donnie met his future wife, Regayda Brooks at Jumpertown High School and they were married for 51 years. He was the Pastor of Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church for many years. He attended Lone Oak Baptist Church and then Antioch Baptist Church where he enjoyed teaching the Adult Sunday School for 13 years until his health deteriorated. He sang with a family group of Gospel Travelers and then later created the group The Johnson's with his wife, Regayda, son, Gary and mother-in-law, Madge Brooks. He worked at Piggly Wiggly, Gardner's Supermarket, Brown Shoe, Co., Coca Cola Bottling Works and Quebecor Printing company. He loved to study his Bible, pray, fish, hunt, bowl, shoot pool, garden and camp with his family. It was easy for him to make friends with total strangers.
