A Celebration of Life Service for Edna Lambert, 88 of Burnsville, MS will be Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment to follow in Shady Grove Cemetery in Burnsville, MS. Greg Woodruff will officiate the service. Visitation will be Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 10:00 AM till service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel.

Mrs. Edna Lambert peacefully passed away Monday, July 6, 2026, in Collierville, TN surrounded by her family. She was born on November 17, 1937, in Burnsville, MS to W.C. Gray and Lillie Bray Gray. She was a member of the Apostille Friendship Chapel of Iuka, MS. Mrs. Lambert worked 41 years at Genesco Shoe Company in the packaging department as a finisher. When she wasn’t spending time with her family, Edna loved to maintain flowers around her home - hydrangeas, azaleas, petunias, roses - she had a little of everything. She was also known for her cooking and always made sure that everyone who visited had something they liked - each kid and grandkid had a favorite dessert and come holidays you would find everyone satisfied with their favorite treat. If she wasn’t at home, you could find her at the Dollar Wise in Burnsville, hunting for books for her grandkids, snacks, or anything that caught her eye. Later in her life, Edna loved collecting rocks. She could spot a beautiful rock a mile away and was quick to fill up her pockets with her little treasures. To know Edna was to love her - she was incredibly vibrant and funny and quick-witted and could make a friend out of any stranger she met.

Edna is survived by her daughter, Kim Lambert; her sons, Ronnie Lambert (Christine) and Terry Lambert (Terra); 9 grandchildren, Joshua Lambert (Amanda), Joseph Lambert, Tanya Lambert, Rachael Lambert, Jonathan Lambert, Rhiannon Lambert, Lily Kress, Connor Lambert and Luke Lambert; 8 great grandchildren; her brother, Billy Gray; her sister, Martha Jane Jacobs (Bill); her sister-in-law, Peggy Gray; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Maxie Lambert; her father, W.C. Gray; her mother, Lillie Gray; her brothers, Emmitt Gray (Bobbie), Everett “Doodle” Gray, Enos Gray, Alford “Bud” Gray, William Terry Gray, and Larry Gray; her sisters, Vergia Wren (Bill) and Doris Loyd.
