Edward Arthur Akers

Edward Arthur Akers passed away Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN at the age of 68. He was born August 22, 1942 to Marcella Surber Akers Davis and the late Louis Akers. He was a retired self employed Construction contractor, He was a U.S. Army Veteran and he was of the Roman Catholic Faith. He is survived by his wife of 17 years: Devonia McGlone Sagraves – Michie, TN, Sons: Edward Arthur Akers & wife Donna – Edwardsville, IL; Wesley Louis Akers – Dallas, TX; William Thomas Akers & wife Rachel – Michie, TN, Daughters: Kimberly Akers Brady – Columbia, TN; Shawn Powell – CA; Lisa Butler - CA, 11 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, his Mother: Marcella Surber Akers Davis - IL , Brother: David Akers – Orlando, FL and Sisters: Marsha Schiebel & husband Kent – Edwardsville, IL; Janet Lunsford – Alton, IL He is welcomed to Heaven by his Father: Louis Akers
