Effie Dean Helton

Funeral services for Effie Helton, 90 of Corinth are set for Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – EAST with interment in Glendale Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 12pm-2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. Bro. Bob Cossey and Bro. Jon Haimes will officiate the service. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.  Born May 15, 1931 in Savannah, TN., Effie passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022 at Dogwood Assisted Living in Corinth. She was of the Baptist faith and a long time member of Glendale Baptist Church. Effie was a homemaker, who loved her family and friends and enjoyed sewing, playing the piano and singing. Effie is survived by her daughters, Bobbie Sitton and husband Danny and Brenda Gunn and husband Michael; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer Kim and husband Jae, Sabrina Trimble and husband Luke, Jessica Harris, Walter Coleman, Grant Little and fiancee’ Candlin Grimes, Scott Bryant and wife Amanda, Mickey Gunn and wife Loretta and Reagan Reese; 14 great grandchildren, Jaecob Kim, Audrey Kim, Grace Kim, James Ethan Harris, Jaiden Harris, Chase Little and wife Bailey, Avery Little, Paisley Bryant, Camryn Bryant, J.  Lucas Trimble, Charlie Trimble, Austyn Coleman, Branch Coleman and Fisher Coleman; one great great grandchild, Linley Little; sister, Pauline Cox; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, Wallace Ervin “Bob” Helton; father, Thomas Hayes Burns; mother, Mary Willie Burns; brothers, Thomas Burns and Leo Burns and her sisters, Nannie May Lambert and husband Luther, Ann Laura Strickland and husband Pete and Hazel Skelton and husband Paul.
