Everett Newcomb

A Celebration of Life service for Everett Newcomb, 80 of Corinth, MS, will be Monday, February 27, 2023 at 11:00 A M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with Military Honors with interment to follow in Holly Cemetery.  Rev. Warner Collier will officiate the service.  Visitation will be Monday, February 27, 2023 from 9:30 A M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East.  Mr. Newcomb passed away Friday, February 24, 2023 at Magnolia Regional Health Center.  After 11 years of service, he retired from Caterpillar in the reman department and became a self employed woodworker.   He loved riding his Willhorse lawnmower, antiques, fishing and working.  He enjoyed doing mechanic work, watching westerns and showing off his log cabin he built on their land.  He loved spending time with his family and friends and his special dog, Katie.  Everett is survived by his wife of 27 years, Carol Newcomb; his son, Jason Everett Newcomb and wife Desiree’; step-son, Brian Keith and wife China; 6 grandchildren, Jakub Newcomb, Jack Newcomb, Hunter Keith, Brayden Keith and wife

Brooke, Chase Baggett and Cole Baggett; 1 great granddaughter, Annalynn Keith; son-in-law, Anthony Baggett; brother, Jerry Newcomb and wife Ella Mae; sister-in-law, Liza Newcomb ; best friend and neighbor, Warren Williams; other relatives and a host of friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, James Vernon Newcomb; his mother, Thadas Onada Steen Strickland; his step-daughter, Lisa Baggett; his brother, Jim E. Newcomb and his sisters, Louise Sagely and husband Curt and Janeva Elam and husband David.  Pallbearers will be Jakub Newcomb, Jack Newcomb, Hunter Keith, Brayden Keith, Chase Baggett and Cole Baggett.  Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Everett Newcomb.
