A celebration of life service for Gary Mitchell, 72 of Corinth, MS will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 3, 2026, at Magnolia Funeral Home – East with a graveside service and interment to follow in Highland Cemetery in Greenfield, TN. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM Monday, August 3, 2026, at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. Bro. Phil Mitchell and Dr. Randy Bostick will officiate the service and Shea Anderson and Diante Curlee will deliver reflections.

Gary was born on February 5, 1954, in Greenfield, Tennessee, and passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026, in Corinth, Mississippi. For many years he dedicated his talents to Innovative Circuits, where he worked as a Circuit Board Designer and also served as Director of Operations. He was a proud graduate of the Greenfield High School Class of 1972.

Gary lived his faith with sincerity and devotion as a member of Oakland Baptist Church. He held a lifelong passion for martial arts, earning the rank of third‑degree black belt in taekwondo. Teaching others brought him joy—he loved watching students grow in confidence and discipline. In earlier years, he and his wife Vicki shared many adventures riding Harleys, embracing the freedom and thrill of the open road together.

If you knew Gary, then you knew he was a spirit that never dimmed. He was free‑spirited, wild at heart, and forever young in the way he laughed, joked, and pulled pranks. He brought lightness wherever he went, turning ordinary moments into memories that linger.

Gary’s greatest gift was his heart for giving. He didn’t just love helping people—he preferred it. He lived as a quiet Good Samaritan, offering kindness without seeking recognition. Even now, his family continues to learn of the many ways he stepped in to help others, choosing humility over praise every time.

He was unforgettable—full of humor, full of life, and full of love. With Gary, there was never a dull moment, only the blessing of a life lived boldly and generously.

Those left to honor Gary’s memory include his wife of 42 years, Vicki Mitchell; daughter, Amanda Marie Mitchell; son, Jacob Howard “Jake” Mitchell; bonus sons, Diante Curlee (Saydreana) and Shea Anderson (Hyvin); grandchildren, Kilynn, Jaxson, Johnna, Peyton, John Wyatt, Skylar, and Starr; brother, Phil Mitchell (Susan); sisters, Lisa Mitchell Hilliard (David) and LeeAnn Usery (Greg); several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Mitchell and his mother, Dorothy Stafford Mitchell Brassfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The Parkinson's Foundation. Magnolia Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Gary Mitchell.
