Gayle Gurley

A celebration of life memorial service for Sylvia Gayle Gurley, 78, of Corinth, MS is scheduled for 3:00 PM Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel. Bro. Ralph Culp and Bro. Lennis Nowell will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. Born December 18, 1944 in Corinth, MS to the late Houston and Hazel Marsh Shelton, Gayle passed away at Magnolia Regional Health Center March 2, 2023. She retired as an LPN and was a member on North Corinth Church of Christ. Gayle loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson. She enjoyed swimming, water skiing, working in the yard, traveling, action movies, and westerns. Those left to honor her memory include her husband of 55 years, Jerry Gurley; daughter, Tess Gurley Rouse; grandchild, Cole Rouse; other relatives, and a host of friends. Gayle is preceded in death by her father, Houston Shelton and her mother, Hazel Marsh Shelton.  Magnolia Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Sylvia Gayle Gurley.
