Harold Douglas Strachan

A Celebration of Life service for Harold Douglas Strachan, 95 of Glen, MS, will be Monday, March 13, 2023 at 2:00 P M with military honors at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment to follow in Indian Springs Cemetery.  Bro. Rick Wells will officiate the service with Mike Maxey delivering the eulogy.  Visitation will be Sunday, March 12, 2023 from 5:00 P M to 8:00 P M and Monday, March 13, 2023 from 12:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East.  Mr. Strachan passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at his residence.  He was born September 3, 1927 in Corinth, MS to William Strachan and Lillie Joshlin Strachan.  He was a retired office worker at Dana Corporation and a member of Indian Springs United Methodist Church.  He was a retired United State Air Force Veteran and was also a United States Navy Veteran.  He loved working in the yard, gardening, canning, traveling and spending time with his family.  Harold is survived by his wife of 66 years, Wanda Sue Driver Strachan; his sons, Tracy Strachan and Todd Strachan; 5 grandchildren, Diamel Gahagan and husband Brandon, Mark Strachan and wife Tina, Jenna Strachan Reed and husband Brian, Nick Strachan and Chase Strachan and Grace; 3 great grandchildren, Caleb Gahagan, Evie Reed and Alana Strachan; his brothers, Kenneth Strachan and wife Jean and Willard Strachan and wife Blonda; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, William Strachan; his mother, Lillie Joshlin Strachan; his brothers, J.C. Strachan and Donald Strachan and his sister, Edith Smith.  Pallbearers will be, Larry Strachan, Jody Dixon, Mark Strachan, Nick Strachan, Caleb Gahagan, Brandon Gahagan and Brian Reed.  Magnolia Funeral home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Harold Douglas Strachan.
