Heather Louane Hopper, born on October 3, 1980, in Selmer, Tennessee, began her journey in this world filled with a compassion that would characterize her life. She passed away on July 27, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee, leaving behind a legacy of love, care, and unwavering dedication to those around her. The visitation for Heather will be held on August 1, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Childers Hill Pentecostal Church, located at 160 Federal Road, Counce, TN 38326. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life service will commence at 2:00 PM at the same location. Rev. Pat Terry and Rev. Larry Vandiver will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Brandon Terry, Dwaine Smith, D. J. Johnson, Barry Ganus, Billy Moffett and Jay Perryman.
A devoted mother, Heather's children were the essence of her being. They illuminated her life and inspired her daily. Heather not only cherished every moment spent with them but actively nurtured their dreams, always being their greatest supporter. Her laughter, warmth, and grace will forever resonate in their hearts. As a professional, Heather excelled as the Director of Nursing, a role that was much more than just a job for her. From a young age, she knew she wanted to take care of people, and she embraced this commitment wholeheartedly. Her passion for nursing was evident in the way she connected with her patients, always going above and beyond to ensure their comfort and well-being. She was a true beacon of hope and love during challenging times, and many owe their healing to her tender care. Heather's spirit was magnetic; she was a people person who thrived in the presence of others. A lover of the underdog, she had an innate ability to uplift those who felt overlooked. Her friends and family will forever remember her warm smile and the kindness she effortlessly extended to everyone she met. In addition to her extraordinary professional life, Heather lived for her passions. She found joy in singing, often pouring her heart into every note. Heather had a deep love for music and played the trumpet in band. She proudly supported her children as they followed in her footsteps, participating in band and all its activities. Watching Nashville Predators games and UT Football games brought her a sense of community and exhilaration, and she treasured each experience. Horseback riding allowed her to explore the beauty of nature, while Lake Powell stood as one of her favorite sanctuaries, a place where she found peace and inspiration.
Heather Louane Hopper leaves behind a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her. Her love endures through the countless lives she touched and the memories that will forever be cherished. She will be missed deeply, yet her legacy of compassion and strength will continue to inspire those who carry her memory forward. Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 23 years, Rodney Hopper; son, Peyton Hopper; daughter, Abbigail Hopper; her two dogs , who were her constant companions, Brandy and Nova; her mother, Angela Jerrolds (John); father, Hulon Terry (Cindy); sisters, April Smith (Dwaine) and Brittany Johnson (D.J.); step brother, Jacob Jerrolds (Sabrina); honorary sister, Tasha McGee; her mother and father-in-law, Billy and Flora Hopper; sisters-in-law, Melissa Moffett (Billy) and Jennifer Perryman (Jay); numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host if friends.
In Lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House in Heather's memory. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Heather Louane Hopper.
