Hershel Hodum

Funeral services for Hershel Hodum, 90, of Corinth are set for Sunday, September 5, 2021 at 2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with Bro. Scotty Downs officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 5pm-9pm and Sunday, September 5, 2021 from 1pm-2pm.
Born April 21, 1931 in Tippah County, MS., Hershel passed away Friday, September 03, 2021 at his home in Corinth. He was a retired supervisor and heavy equipment operator for S and S Construction Company and of the Christian faith.
Hershel is survived by his daughters, Martha Jo Carter and Mary Jane Ford; his step children, Jeff Hastings (Darlene) , Pernell Hastings and Lisa Trimble (Sean); 6 grandchildren, Angelia Huggins, Kevin Carter, Sandra Cummings (Darren), Kami Childers (Jesse), Michele Hancock (Craig) and Teresa Thrasher (Jeremy); 8 step grandchildren, Eric Hastings (Selena), Stephanie Hastings (Curtis Harris), Jeff Hastings, Jr. (Brandi), Brandy Steen, Steven Gray, Alicia Byrd, Vera Trimble and Sarah Trimble; 14 great grandchildren; 9 step great grandchildren; 17 great great grandchildren; special extended family, Wayne and Bonnie Lindsey and Cory and Cheyenne Lindsey; other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Frances Burcham Hodum; grandson, Shane Lindsey; father, Arie Lee Hodum; mother, Mary Edna Waldon Hodum; brothers, Clinton Hodum and John Hodum and the mother of his children, Rosa Hodum.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Lindsey, Jesse Childers, Greg Ford, James Ford, Michael Crum, David Crum, Billy Joe Crum and Chris Garrett. Magnolia Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Hershel Hodum.
