A Graveside Service for Hubert Bishop, 80 of Pontotoc, MS, will be Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 11:00 A M at Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery with interment to follow at Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Norman Mattox will officiate the service. Mr. Bishop passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020 at his residence in Pontotoc, MS. He was born January 20, 1940 in Lee County, MS to Tulus Bishop and Carrie Fowler Bishop. He was a retired factory worker at Super Sagless and was of the Christian faith. Hubert is survived by his sons, Gary Bishop (Wanda) of Plantersville, MS and Ricky Bishop (Melinda) of Mooreville, MS; his daughters, Hazel Henry (Bill) of Fulton, MS and Stephanie J. Lemmons (James "Bud") of Fulton, MS; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Gerald Dean McKay (Jerry) of Pontotoc, MS and Delaine Jones Stutts (James "Bud") of Corinth, MS; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Lavender Stutts Bishop; his daughter, Lilly Henry; his father, Titus Bishop; his mother, Carrie Fowler Bishop and his sister, Florence Maxey. Pallbearers will be Patrick Henry, Jonathan Justice, Jamie Bishop and Rodney Bishop. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Hubert Bishop.
