Jack Richardson, 89, born on October 15, 1936, in Jacinto, MS, passed away peacefully at his home on January 30, 2026, surrounded by his beloved children. He lived a life devoted to family, church, and community, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him.
Funeral service will be held at Magnolia Funeral Home - East in Corinth, MS, on February 5, 2026, at 2PM with visitation on February 4, 2026, from 5 PM to 8 PM, and continuing on February 5, 2026, from 12 PM to 2 PM. The service will be led by Bro. Raybon Richardson, with an obituary tribute by Bro. Ken White. Pallbearers will include Andrew Richardson, Hunter McCalister, Jack Austin McCalister, Eric Hoard, Matt Stacy, and Aaron Hight. Jack will be laid to rest at Jacinto Cemetery.
He dedicated 32 years of his professional life to ITT and spent an additional 17 years at Tecumseh. Beyond his work in industry, he was a steadfast farmer, cultivating cotton and soybeans, and raising cattle. His commitment to hard work exemplified his character, teaching his family the values of perseverance and dedication.
A foundational member of Jacinto Baptist Church, Jack was known for being a constant presence in the lives of those around him. He devoted his time and resources towards helping others, significantly contributing to the Jacinto Foundation, the Jacinto Fire Department, and the Jacinto Cemetery Foundation. His efforts consistently promoted the well-being of the Jacinto community and made a positive impact on countless lives.
Jack is preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Barbara Prince Richardson, his parents; William and Lou Venia Richardson, grandchildren; Zac Gant and Joshua Gant, two sisters; Beth Melton and Barbara Hoard, and two great-grandchildren; Evelyn Hight and Gabriel Hight.
He leaves behind a deeply devoted family: his sons, Chris Richardson (Angela), and Greg Richardson (Bernadith); daughters, Donna Richardson (Pat), Cheryl Hubbard (Jim), and Mary McCalister (Brian). Additionally, Jack cherished his grandchildren; Sasha Howell (Joe), Emily Stacy (Matt), Andrew Richardson (Kyla), Anna Grace Richardson, Greta Thomasson (Paul), Meagan Richardson, Jessica Hight (Aaron), Hunter McCalister (Harley), and Jack Austin McCalister. His legacy continues with his great-grandchildren; Will Stacy, Freya Stacy, Willa Kate Richardson, Georgia Hight, Moses Hight, Samuel Hight, Mason Thomasson, A.J. Troxell, and Hailey Troxell, and very special friend, Barbara Faye Ross.
Jack Richardson’s life was a testament to love, service, and dedication. He will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and the community he served so faithfully. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Jack Richardson.
