James Allen Hale, 81, of Corinth, MS passed away on April 26, 2026 at Magnolia Regional Medical Center. He was born on October 28, 1944 in Corinth, MS. Known to friends and family as Jim/Jimmy, he grew up farming with his dad. After graduating from Burnsville High School in 1962, he was drafted into the Army but not before marrying the love of his life Martha (Shults) Hale in 1965. Their love extended over 60 years of marriage. Jim is preceded in death by his parents John Allen Hale and Emma Louise (Hyneman) Hale and his sister Margie Hale Franks. He is survived by his loving wife, Martha, three children, daughters Julie (Brad) West of Wrens, GA, Jennifer (Stevie) Lovelace of Burnsville and son James “Jamie” Allen Hale, Jr. of Memphis. Four grandchildren, Katie West Garner, Molly West (CJ) Usry, Jacob West, and Mallory Lovelace, along with three Great-Grandchildren: Weston, Wrenleigh, and Spencer who all adored their ‘Papa’. He was a member of Strickland Church of Christ. Visitation is scheduled from 12 to 2 on Thursday, April 30, 2026 with services to follow at 2 pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. Interment with military honors will be at Corinth National Cemetery. Terry Smith, Dr. Leonard Pratt, and Brad Dillingham will officiate at the service. Pallbearers include Jacob West, Kerry Fowler, Terry Lambert, Kelly Edge, Mike Tucker, and Ricky Fields. Honorary pallbearers include Scotty Edge, Dan Hardin, Walter Hughey, Dexter Stanfield, Gerald Essary, and Bobby Franks. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Magnolia Hospital for their care, kindness and support they provided during this difficult time. Most notably, Drs. Earles and McAlpin for their devoted care over the years as well as Dr. Summers in the MICU over the last two weeks. In lieu of flowers, the family asked for donations to be made to Pinevale Children’s Home. Magnolia Funeral Home is honored to care for the family of James Allen Hale.
