James "Jimmy" Raye Young

James "Jimmy " Raye Young, 85 of Corinth passed from this life on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Diversicare of Amory. He was born January 19, 1939 in Iuka, MS to James Eldridge and Sarah Ellen Johnson Young. Mr. Young was of an U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed collecting coins for all over the world, fried catfish, Memphis Tiger Basketball, going to Crump to the flea market and going to yard sales. Jimmy is survived by his nephews and nieces, Billy James Young, Jr. and wife Darlene, David Wayne Young and wife Diane, Patricia Gattis and husband Danny and Teresia Bromley and husband Mike; sister-in-law, Shirley Young; a special nephew, Nichalos S. Young and wife Jana; other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, James Eldridge Young; mother, Sarah Ellen Johnson Young and his brother, Billy James Young. There will be a graveside service Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 11 am at Fairview Community Church Cemetery in Iuka.
