James Nolan Sims

A Celebration of Life Service for James N. Sims, 87 of Corinth, MS, will be Friday, August 11, 2023 at 11:00 A M at Magnolia Funeral Home – South on Hwy 45 South with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens.  Bro. Tracy Quillian will officiate the service.  Visitation will be Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 5:00 P M to 8:00 P M  and Friday, August 11, 2023 from 10:00 A M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home - South.  Mr. Sims passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Magnolia Regional Health Center.  He was born August 17, 1935 in McNairy County, TN to Nolan Sims and Lucy Mae Gooch Sims.  He was a retired self employed truck driver and a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church.  He enjoyed life, going out to eat and camping.   He loved playing with his grandchildren, being with his family and going to church.  James is survived by his wife of 37 years, Loretta Sims; his sons, Bub Sims (Robin), Anthony Sims (Danita), Don Sims (Tammy), Timmy Sims and Lamar Latch; his daughters, Betty Huggins (Wendell) and Annette Morelock (Jeff); 12 grandchildren, Brandon Sims (Hannah), Brooke Butler (Bradley), Ashley Poole, Cassie Matlock, Amber Parker (Ross), Colton Sims (Brittany), Shelby Sims, Tyler Sims, Stephanie Latch, Holly Stricklin, Stan Morelock (Amber) and Kayla Ruth Mercer (Scott); 14 great grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Nolan Sims; his mother, Lucy Mae Gooch Sims and his brother Charles Sims.  Pallbearers will be Carl Mills, Chevy Null, Eddie Joe Davis, Brian Jackson, Kevin Switcher and Jonathan Strausser.  Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. James N. Sims.
