Janice Faye Bingham Gray

Janice Faye Bingham Gray, 77 of Corinth, MS, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 5:00 P M to 9:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home – South.
There will be no public funeral service. A private family burial will be held at Magnolia Gardens.
Mrs. Gray was born on September 26, 1944, to Leon and Virgie Lena (Copeland) Bingham in Birmingham, Alabama.
When Janice was young, the Bingham family moved back to Alcorn County, where the family owned and ran Bingham’s store in Kendrick. Janice worked in the family store and graduated from Alcorn Central High School. In July of 1961 she married Gerald L. Gray, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage. Janice and Gerald were blessed with the birth of three children, Greg in 1962, Kim in 1964, and Jennifer in 1971.
Janice managed the books and banking for Gerald’s business ventures in farming, home construction, and tile setting. She was an incredible cook, kept an immaculately clean home, and loved hosting family and friends for meals. Janice was a loving, devoted, caring, and supportive Christian wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother.
Janice is survived by her son, Gregory Gerald Gray; her daughters: Kimberly Ann Pyles and husband Tim, and Jennifer Lin Strickland; 4 grandchildren, Hannah Pyles Kingcade and husband Reece, Coleman Bradford Pyles, Mary Fenley Strickland, and Benjamin David Strickland; her sister, Barbara Fowler; along with many other extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Virgie Bingham; her husband, Gerald L. Gray; her sisters, Carolyn Strickland and Sue Hammock and her brother, Paul Bingham.
