Janice L. Switcher

Janice Lou Linda Pauline Spencer Switcher, 73, of Corinth, MS, passed away on September 20, 2025 at Magnolia Regional Health Center surrounded by her family. Janice was the wife of Jerry R. Switcher, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage. She was the daughter of Minnie M. Adams and the late Millard Junior Spencer and is survived by her daughters, Christy Clemons (Justin) and Carol Knight (Michael). Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren, Jace Rencher (Nicole), Haley Rencher, Ashlie Leatherwood (Jay) and six other treasured blessings along with four precious great grandchildren. Janice is also survived by her siblings, Romona Joy Harris (Johnny), Robert Russ Adams, Tabitha A. Sharp, Oral Robert Adams (Amy), Helah S. Wilson (Cecil), Helen Hall, and Jennifer Lindley. Janice was preceded in death by her father, Millard Junior Spencer, her brothers, Ronnie L. Spencer and Ricky Spencer; and a host of relatives and friends that welcomed her home. 

Janice’s presence was a source of strength and joy to all who knew her. She will be remembered as more than a wife, mother, and grandmother, but also for her passion of genealogy and her endless collection of family pictures that kept the stories of generations alive. She was actively involved in cataloguing local cemetery records and worked tirelessly to support Tishomingo County Archives and History Museum. Janice also shared a passion for quilting and for spending time with her family and friends. 

A Celebration of Janice’s life will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Magnolia Funeral Home – East with visitation scheduled from 12 pm till service time at 2 pm. Bro. Rod Taylor will officiate the service. The family welcomes all who loved her to join in remembering a life well lived and a love that will always remain.
