Funeral services for Janie Elizabeth Tapp, 88, of Corinth, Mississippi, are set for Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – EAST with burial in Magnolia Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 5pm-8pm and Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 12pm-2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – EAST. Bro. Jeremy Luna and Bro. Warren Jones will officiate the service. Christy Franks will deliver the eulogy. Mrs. Tapp died Sunday, December 1, 2024, at her residence. She lived a long fruitful life with her loving family and with her soulmate whom she joins in heaven. She loved cooking and taking care of her family in any way needed whether a sewn pocket or hearty meal. She always took the time to take a phone call for some gossip and never missed an appointment at the hair salon. In addition to her always well-maintained hair, she loved to be dressed to the t’s matching from head to toe. She is survived a son: James David Tapp and wife Rosa of Corinth, MS; a daughter: Judy Tapp of Savannah, TN; 8 grandchildren: Christy Franks, William Jesus Tapp, Josey Alan Pettigrew (Taylor), Matthew Kirk Pettigrew , Justin Tyler Franks, Alex Tapp, William David Tapp and Allieonna Tapp; 6 great grandchildren: Hunter LaFever (Taylor), Dakota Lowery, Kadee Pettigrew, Matthew Kirk Pettigrew II, , Konner Tapp, and Pepper Pettigrew; 6 great great grandchildren , Baylor, Bennett and Charli Grace LaFever and Grayson, Elizabeth and Koda Lowery; other relatives and a host of friends. . She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years James Jerimiah Tapp; her daughter: Pamela Tapp Pettigrew(Kirk); brother, James Melton Graves; her parents, Melton Graves and Berti Lee Childress and a grandson, James David Tapp Jr. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Janie Elizabeth Tapp.
