Jean Jones

Jean Jones, 93, a beloved member of the community, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025, in Corinth, Mississippi. Born on June 30, 1932, Jean lived a life filled with devotion to her church, family, and her faith in the Lord.

Throughout her life, Jean demonstrated unwavering commitment, embodying the essence of sacrificial love and service. She was known for putting God first, followed closely by her deep devotion to family. Her love for God and her church was evident in her many contributions, especially in her proudest accomplishments, including mission trips, being a devoted Outreach Director, prison ministry, and organizing Christmas Shoe Boxes to spread joy and hope to those in need.

Jean leaves behind her cherished family, including her son, Alan David Jones, and her daughter, Barbara Malone (Jerry); 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Hoyle Ray Jones; parents, C. E. and Edith Orr; brother, Robert Orr; sisters, Marilyn Robertson and Carolyn Pittman.  

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Tate Baptist Church, located at 1201 N Harper Rd, Corinth, MS, beginning at 9:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. The service will be led by Bro. Daniel Jones, with Bro. Mickey Trammel delivering the obituary.

Jean's legacy of love, kindness, and deep faith will continue to resonate within the hearts of her family, friends, and the greater community she cherished. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the indelible impact she made in the lives of many. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Jean Jones.
