Funeral services for Mrs. Jeanine H. Martin 93, of Corinth, MS are set for Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 2pm at Tate Baptist Church with interment in Magnolia Gardens. Visitation will be Monday, April 13, 2026 from 5pm-8pm and Tuesday, April 14, 2026 from 1 pm until service time at Tate Baptist Church. Bro. Mickey Trammel and Bro. Bill Hurt will officiate the service. Born January 23, 1933 in Louisville, MS., Mrs. Martin passed from this life on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Stoneridge Assisted Living in Corinth. She was a graduate of Louisville High School, MSCW with a Bachelor in Home Economics and University of MS with a Master of science. She was a retired Extension Home Economist for Alcorn County where she worked with families and the community to teach and demonstrate techniques to improve their quality of life. The role of Extension of Economist was more than a title, it was a passion she proudly shared with the residents of Alcorn County. In addition to Jeanine's job, family was her heart, her husband and three children always knew the love she had for each one. She was a daughter, daughter-in-law, wife, mother, Nean-Nean as well as great grandmother, She was the matriarch of the family. Jeanine loved cooking Sunday lunch and taking care of her family. She enjoyed sewing, canning vegetables and mowing her lawn. She was a Sunday School teacher for many years and a member of the choir and ABC choir of Tate Baptist Church. Jeanine is survived by her daughter, Jean Spencer (Gary); sons, C.D. "Donnie Martin, Jr. (Jill) and Joe Martin (Ashley); 7 grandchildren, Ben Martin, Anna Martin, Jason Spencer, Clint Spencer (Sarah), Amanda Watson (Justin), Landon Martin and Kaleigh Martin: 8 great grandchildren, Anderson Spencer, Cole Spencer, Pace Spencer, Neely Sha Spencer, Cannon Spencer, Sawyer Watson, Emma Watson and Annslee Martin; sister-in-law, Mary Troy Hurt; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Caxton "Darnell" Martin, Sr.; father, B. C. Hurt; mother, Pearl Hurt; and her brothers, Ather Hurt (Sue), James Albert Hurt, Sr. (Delle), Ben C.
