Jeff McNair was born on May 24, 1960, in Corinth, Mississippi, and passed away at his home on Friday April 10, 2026. Rooted in his Presbyterian faith, Jeff was a proud member of New Hope Presbyterian Church in Biggersville. He graduated from Biggersville Highschool with the Class of 1978. He retired from Kimberly-Clark, where he spent years as a machine operator—steady, dependable, and probably known for cracking a joke or two on the clock. Jeff loved the outdoors with a passion that could rival any sportsman’s magazine cover. If it involved fishing, turkey hunting, or deer hunting, he was in his element, and if it involved riding side-by-sides, well, you could count him in twice. He enjoyed life in a way that made everyone around him enjoy it a little more too. Music was another one of his great loves. His playlist changed depending on the day of the week—and sometimes depending on the hour. His dog was his loyal sidekick and friend for life, but nothing mattered more to Jeff than his family. His kids and grandkids were his pride and joy. He and Wanda often found themselves bragging about their two boys, and he meant every word. His bond with his brother, Paul, was something rare—part brotherhood, part best-friendship, part “we’ve gotten into a lot of stories we’ll never tell.” Their connection was unshakeable. Jeff lived by a personal code—honor, respect, and knowing how to have a good time. He was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back or even lay down his life for the people he loved without hesitation. He adored his community, and they adored him right back. To those who knew him, he was “top-shelf”—a husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend whose heart was bigger than any fish he ever claimed to catch. Jeff leaves behind a legacy of laughter, loyalty, and love. He lived fully, loved fiercely, and made sure the people around him knew exactly where they stood—with him, always.
Those left to honor Jeff’s memory include his wife of 40 years, Wanda Osborn McNair; sons, Darrell McNair (Jill) and Michael McNair (Audrey); grandchildren, Avery McNair, Jake McNair, Reed McNair, Sarah Kate Childs, and Michael Smith McNair; Parents, Jimmy and Myrna Morton McNair; brother, Paul McNair (Lenora); nephew, Chip & Beverly McNair and their children, Walker and Weston; niece, Anna and Casey Mayo and their children, Kalee, Cooper, and Mattie. Magnolia Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Jeff McNair.
