Jerry Hawley, 81 of Corinth, MS passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2026, in Corinth, MS. He was born on February 9, 1945, in Dexter, Missouri, to Lowell and Delsi Marchant Hawley. For two decades, he shared his passion for science as a dedicated biology, chemistry, and physics teacher at Bernie School. He had a lifelong love for Corvettes—especially red ones—and treasured the time he spent attending car shows with his son. A proud veteran, Jerry served his country with honor as an Army Captain during the Vietnam War.

He found joy in cheering on the Cardinals, watching country western shows, and keeping up with friends and family on Facebook. Above all, Jerry was a devoted father and grandfather whose love for his family shaped every chapter of his life.

He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Lee Hawley; parents, Lowell and Delsi Hawley, and brother-in-law, Charles Moore.
