Funeral services for Jerry Wayne Wilbanks, 80, of Corinth are set for Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 2:00pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with Bro. Mickey Trammel officiating the service. Visitation will be Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 12:00pm-2:00pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel. Born March 1, 1941 in Alcorn County, MS., Jerry passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at his home in Corinth. He was a member of Tate Baptist Church. Jerry worked at the Dept. Of Human Services and was also a rural carrier for the U.S. Postal service. He was a graduate of Corinth High School. He enjoyed watching sports and gardening. Jerry loved his family and playing games with the grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Jerry is survived by his wife of 37 years, Gene Lothenore Wilbanks; daughters, Susan Ligon (Tommy) and Stacey Floyd (Tim); two grandchildren, Blane Floyd and Annagrace Floyd; brothers, Jimmy Wilbanks (Kitty Lou) and Johnny Wilbanks (Treassa); sister, Nancy Holcomb (Gene); other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Mack Wilbanks; mother, Vella Rogers Wilbanks; sister, Bobbie Jean Simpson and two fur babies, Zoe and Zac.
