Jim Childers

Jim Henry Childers, 70, of Counce, TN, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born in McNairy County, TN on May 10, 1950 to the late Clay and Ruth Mathis Childers and will forever be remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. A memorial visitation is scheduled from 5-8 pm Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. Masks and social distancing are required. A Private Family Only Memorial Celebration of Jim’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Pisgah United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Clark Culver. Family and friends are encouraged to attend graveside services at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Pisgah Community Cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Jim’s memory include his sister, Maebell Meeks of Michie, TN; his nephew, Jason Meeks of Scotts Hill, TN; great nephew, Landon Meeks; great niece, Lilli Meeks; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clay and Ruth Mathis Childers; and by his nephew, Anthony Meeks.
