John W Hearn

John W. Hearn, 69, of Rienzi, Mississippi, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born in Corinth, MS on September 19, 1956, to the late O.D. and Stella Hearn. John graduated from Biggersville High School and devoted 30 years of his life to Caterpillar, where he retired, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and integrity that inspired those around him. A fervent admirer of Alabama football, he spent many weekends cheering on his team. His enthusiasm extended to a deep passion for history and a keen interest in military conflicts, reflecting a lifelong fascination with the past and a desire to understand the world around him. John leaves behind a legacy that reminds us all of the importance of dedication, the joy of shared interests, and the value of history in our lives. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 PM on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 and from 12 PM till service time on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Magnolia Funeral Home - South. A celebration of John's life will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Magnolia Funeral Home - South, officiated by Keith Kelly and Bro. Travis Basden. Interment will follow in Magnolia Gardens. Pallbearers include Shane Mathis, Nick Mathis, Jackson Mathis, Jon Mark Sprinkle, Len Reed, Colby Mullins, and Jackey Mullins. Chris Mathis will serve as Honorary Pallbearer. Magnolia Funeral Home - South is entrusted with arrangements. John is survived by his son, Jonathan Hearn (Erica); his daughter, Whitney Hearn; his sister, Shelia Wheeler; the mother of his children, Willie Mae Hearn; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
