A Celebration of Life Service for Jose Luis Castro, 47 of Corinth, MS, will be Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel. Bro. Caleb Brooks will officiate the service. Visitation will be Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 12:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. Mr. Castro passed away, Saturday, July 9, 2022 at his residence. He was born August 2, 1974 in Bridgeton, NJ to Jose Manuel Castro and Iris Violetta Vergara Castro. He retired as a utility worker at Tri County Headstart and was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a member of All The Nations in Bridgeton, NJ. He enjoyed playing pool, watching cooking shows, custom painting and fabrication on motorcycles. He was a member of APA, TAPP and Blackout Soldiers, and loved spending time with his family. Jose is survived by wife, Jaime Castro; his son, Jose Castro, Jr. (Elaina); his daughters, Mercedez Castro (Roy), Betsy Castro, Mia Castro (Nathen), Shalece Castro and Maleyah Castro; 9 grandchildren, Jeremiah Riley, Elijah Castro, Josiah Castro, Cataleyah Jamison, Anthony Jamison III, D.J. Durr, J.J. Durr, Eliana Castro and Nathan Tanner, Jr.; his mother, Iris Castro; his brothers, Jose G. Castro and William Popecki; his sisters, Olga Clark (Jermaine), Iris Dalis Gonzalez (Jabriel) and Milagros Escoto; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by son-in-law, Teddy Jamison and his father, Jose Manuel Castro. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Jose Luis Castro.
