Joyce Glidewell

          A celebration of life service for Joyce Glidewell, 79, of Iuka, MS is scheduled for 2:00 PM Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Magnolia Funeral Home – East with interment in Temple Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. Bro. Tommy Leatherwood will officiate the service. Joyce was born August 16, 1944, in Iuka, MS to Earnest and Blanch Sanders and she passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024, in Iuka, MS. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Temple Baptist Church. She retired from Walmart as a jewelry associate. She enjoyed traveling, short rides, car shows, going to flea markets, Christmas parades and going numerous places with her husband before he passed away.

          Those left to honor her memory include her sisters, Hester Medley (Dale), Linda Sanders (Jimmy), Carolyn Hudson (Danny), and Becky Waddell (Clay); brother-in-law, Gerald Glidewell (Barbara); furbaby, Tater; 8 nieces and nephews; and 31 great nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends. 

          She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Glidewell; parents, Earnest and Blanch Sanders; brothers, James Earnest Sanders and William Carol Sanders and her in-laws, Georgie and Birdie Mae Glidewell. 

          Pallbearers include Shelby Waddell, Sean Helton, Danny Hudson, Dale Medley, Blakley Sanders, and Brad Hollon. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Joyce Glidewell.
