Kathryn Dewdrop Johnson

Funeral services for Kathryn Dewdrop Johnson, 87 of Marietta, MS., are set for Friday, December 30, 2022 at 11am at Kirkville Baptist Church in Marietta with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 5pm-8pm and Friday, December 30, 2022 from 10 am until service time at Kirkville Baptist Church in Marietta. Bro. Henry Jenkins and Bro. John Moore will officiate the service. Born in Hinkle, MS October 23, 1935 to the late Waymon and Ethel Calvary Wallis, Dewdrop passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022 at Magnolia Regional Heath Center. She was a Sunday School teacher for 50+ years and a member of Kirkville Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and was a very good seamstress. She loved cooking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Those left to honor Dewdrop's memory include her son, Gregg Johnson; daughters, Terry Tompkins (Eddie), Tammy Hunkapiller (Jimmy), Linda Lambert (Wendell), and Kelly Farquhar (James); grandchildren, Barry Tompkins (Dawn), Jason Lambert (M.J.), Corie Kilcrease (Kevin), and Hayden Farquhar (Kayla); nine great grandchildren; sister, Louise Michael; special friends, Courtney and Dora; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Johnson; grandchild, Matthew Lambert; brother, Arlin Wallis and sisters, Virginia Johnson and Eddie Mae Spencer. Pallbearers will be Barry Tompkins, Jason Lambert, Hayden Farquhar, David Kilcrease, Kevin Kilcrease, Preston Miles, Briley Miles, Hunter Vanstory.
