Funeral services for Ladrod "Shotgun" Wood are set for Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 2pm at County Line Baptist Church with interment in County Line Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, March 20, 2023 from 5pm-8pm and Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 12pm until service time. Bro. David Shepard will officate the service. Pallbearers will be Daniel Crum, Joseph Tillman, Saul Hernandez, Roger Stewart, Brandson Stewart and Willie Hunt. Honorary pallbearer will be Ray Crum. Born June 4, 1946 in Memphis, TN , Ladrod passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was a member of County Line Baptist Church and a retired fiberglass operator for F. L. Crane. Ladrod loved his family and friends and spending time with his grandchildren. Reading his bible, going to dirt track races and building model trains were his favorite past times. Those left to cherish Ladrod's memory include his son, Randy Mercer (Terri); daughters, Jennifer Dawn Crum (Ray) and Darlene Stewart (Jackie); 6 grandchildren, Brittney Clanton (Saul), Cody Clanton (Destinee), Randall Stewart, Brandon Stewart (Stephanie), Heather Duncan (Chase) and Daniel Crum (Amber); 14 grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his 2 sons; Randle Mercer and Ronald Wood; his father, John Wood; mother, Anta Shaw Wood and sisters, Rayoma Beavers and Vifie Wilbanks.
